One of the most beautiful and historic Karoo farmhouses (built in 1825) have now been restored and modernised by the architect owner to create a new look with 21st century touches in design and furnishing to accommodate guests in this great part of the world. Double-glazed windows shield the homestead from fierce Karoo summers and icy winter evenings and overlook merinos, springbok, and oryx grazing on the sweet Karoo fynbos or drinking at the dam. In the summer months you can enjoy the beautiful views in the shade of the verandas and in winter sit around a log fire looking out on a snow-capped Swartberg. The farm borders the magnificent Swartberg Nature Reserve and is situated 15km from the jaw dropping Meiringspoort cutting through the World Heritage mountain range and a mere 45km from Prince Albert and 58km to Oudsthoorn.
