The nature reserve is frequented by bush buck, duiker, monkey, zebra and bush pig. Kloof is 20 minutes inland from Durban and 5 minutes from the business centres of Pinetown. Several shopping malls, pubs & restaurants, an 18-hole golf course and a gym are 5 minutes away from Kloof Falls Lodge. The Krantzkloof boasts 200 species of birds, including the Crowned Eagle, the Purple-crested Loerie and the Long-tailed Wagtail (Umvemve). Nearby are many tourist attractions such as the Valley of a Thousand Hills, a Safari Park and excellent beaches.
