When life gives you rainy days, wear cute boots, jump in the puddles, and visit the park!!!

Our gentle giants absolutely love this weather and with their keen sense of smell, elephants can detect water sources up to 20 kilometers away. This sense is even more impressive for rain and storms: they can sense storms and rainfall happening up to 240 kilometers away.

This Saturday is Jeffreys Bay Adventures first online event in aid of Tharros Child and Youth Care Centre to raise funds to fix the roof of the main building to keep the rain out and prevent potential water damage.

Online quiz night via Zoom with live raffle draws aims to raise funds toward their goal of R66700 for the roof repairs. Grand prize is a lovely hamper of delicious homemade delights. Raffle prizes include a bottle of yummy wine and a previously loved PlayStation 2 with some games and memory cards (PS1 and PS2).

Did you know: Two of the Garden Route's famous four big trees are located in the Knysna Forest.
One is the great King Edward VII in the Diepwalle Forest and the other next to the Daleen Matthee Memorial in Jubilee Creek Nature Reserve.
