Surprise visit!

Commonly known as bushbabies, South African Galago or also known as Nagapies are of the smallest primates on the continent and, although fairly common, are not easily seen due to their nocturnal behaviour. They are more often heard than seen, with their baby-like cries piercing the night.

‼️URGENT CARNIVORE ALERT‼️

3rd September 2025

The Carnivore Team has released an URGENT WARNING that there has been a confirmed sighting of a lioness in BLOCK "B" moving towards Block "A"!

She is on the hunt, moving between the houses thus everyone should be extremely careful and vigilant!
The immediate alert is for BLOCK “A" and Block "B" as per the attached map. For those who are not familiar with Marloth, BLOCK "A" IS FROM FIGTREE, MISPEL, CROCODILE, MAROELA, AND KIAAT AND BLOCK "B" IS FROM CROCODILE, MISPEL, MAROELA, WILDGOOSE AND VOLSTRUIS.

EVERYBODY needs to be extremely cautious and an urgent alert for joggers, hikers and cyclists in the morning and afternoon! Be extra careful at night as the lioness is a bigger threat in the dark! If you are having a braai, sit with your backs to a wall and keep the lights on!

PLEASE do not allow children to roam around or play unsupervised - period! The lioness could be extremely dangerous especially where kids are concerned!😳

Unfortunately the warnings are not taken seriously! The onus is on each and everyone to adhere to the alerts and warn others of the dangers.
