The Mozambique Spitting Cobra

is one of the most commonly encountered venomous snakes in Marloth Park — especially during the warmer months and around homes, gardens, and water sources. 🐍

Knowing how to identify them and understanding their behaviour can help keep both people and wildlife safe. These snakes are defensive, fast-moving, and capable of spitting venom accurately when threatened, which is why it is always best to keep a safe distance and call a trained handler.

At Juan’s Reptile Rescue Unit, we safely relocate snakes and reptiles throughout Marloth Park and surrounding areas — protecting both residents and wildlife through education, awareness, and safe removals.
