Mount Savannah Cradle of Humankind Less than 45 minutes away from central Gauteng and Pretoria

Mount Savannah Game Reserve is situated within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site; a 47 000 ha tourism destination which is located between Lanseria, Broederstoom, Hekpoort and Oaktree. The 2 000 ha game reserve upon which Mount Savannah is built, is home to buffalo, giraffe, kudu, red hartebeest, impala, zebra as well as a variety of birdlife. Return to the birthplace of humanity over 3-million years ago and discover the home of our ancestors or explore scenic routes, crafters markets, caves and game reserves.

Spring brings fresh grazing, and the animals know it. Zebra drifting past in the early light, giraffe browsing the treeline, springbok scattered across the open veld — all of it happening at its own unhurried pace.

You don't need leave days to reset. Mount Savannah is close enough for a spontaneous weekend and far enough that the city noise stops the moment you turn off the tar.
