A SPECIAL RELEASE, A VERY HAPPY REUNION 🦔🌿

Another successful porcupine relocation from Simbithi Eco-Estate Simbithi Eco Estate to Rain Farm! ❤️

This beautiful porcupine is the partner of the one we successfully captured and released on the farm previously — and we’re delighted to know that the two are now reunited and settling into their new home. 🦔🦔

Even more special was having some of our overseas guests along to witness the release. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience a very real part of conservation in action — not just seeing our wildlife from a game drive, but being part of giving an animal a second chance in a safe, natural environment.

At Rain Farm, we believe conservation is about creating space for wildlife to thrive, protecting our natural environment, and allowing people to experience the magic of it all firsthand.

Another successful release. Another animal given a new home. And hopefully, a very happy porcupine reunion. 🌿🦔❤️

There is a quiet power in the African bush- and few animals embody it quite like the male Eland and the male Blue Wildebeest.

The Blue Wildebeest- rugged, determined and unmistakably wild. Built for endurance, his powerful shoulders, sweeping horns and distinctive appearance represent the raw strength and resilience that keeps our ecosystems alive.

The Eland stands as a symbol of strength, grace and resilience. Powerful yet composed, his towering presence and magnificent spiral horns reflect the beauty of an animal perfectly adapted to life in the African wilderness.

Two very different animals. Two different expressions of power. Yet both are essential pieces of the same incredible story.

At Rain Farm, conservation means protecting that story- preserving natural habitats, supporting thriving wildlife populations, and giving future generations the opportunity to experience these magnificent animals where they belong: in the wild.

This beautiful porcupine was safely captured at Simbithi Eco-Estate and relocated to Rain Farm Game Lodge, where it was released back into a protected natural habitat.

Watching it take those first few steps into its new home was a special reminder of why conservation and the protection of our wildlife matter so deeply.
