If you arrived in Struisbaai this Friday with absolutely no plans, we’d tell you not to make too many. Start slowly.

Coffee near the harbour while the fishing boats come in.

Walk until your shoes become unnecessary somewhere along Struisbaai’s great sweep of white sand.

Buy something fresh for dinner.

Drive towards Agulhas simply because standing at the bottom of a continent never really gets old.

Then head home.

Open the doors of your villa. Put something delicious in a glass. Light the braai. Let the children disappear into their own holiday world while the adults discover that very particular luxury of having nowhere else they need to be.

We don’t believe a beautiful photograph is enough to make a remarkable holiday home. There has to be something more.
