Superbly sited overlooking a waterhole, Elephant Rock is a charming boutique safari lodge offering a home-away-from-home true bush lodge experience. With five suites, including one family suite, accommodation at the lodge caters for a maximum of 10 people that is suitable for everyone at all ages. At Elephant Rock Lodge you can expect extraordinary game viewing on game drives of abundant Big 5, exquisite cuisine and high standards of service - everything to make your safari stay an exceptional one.

“Elephant Rock was the perfect place for my family to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. We had exclusive use of the lodge for 5 nights which allowed us to relax, change our routine if needed, and celebrate!

The lodge is exactly as the photos on their website/social media show!!!! Our chalets were beautiful and I adored our outdoor shower. The service was excellent throughout our stay.

The food was incredibly varied and delicious! There is a good kiddies menu so our littlies were catered for easily. The views over the dam are spectacular and we loved watching all the wildlife that visited. The hide is in a great position and makes you feel like you are out in the bush with the visiting animals.

The highlight of our trip was obviously the wildlife. Our game drives were exceptional, with Naledi helping us find the most incredible sightings. The lodge is very close to the Woodlands Gate so when booking we were initially a bit hesitant that our drives would involve a lot of repetitive fence-line driving, but this wasn't the case. The lodge is very discreetly situated and it feels like you are in your own world - would go again in a heart beat!” - Heather Laubscher, Google Review

Fresh from the morning drive, breakfast at Elephant Rock is served with the valley stretching out below and the bush still fresh in mind. Good food, hot coffee, and a view that makes you want to linger a little longer.

An elephant's tusks are actually elongated incisor teeth, and they continue growing throughout its lifetime. 🐘

Elephants use them for everything from digging for water and stripping bark, to moving objects and protecting themselves.
