We have a saying you will hear a lot here, "it takes a village ". Regular visitors to OKP decided they want to create a fun zone for our grandchildren & other kids that visit. So the slide is no longer a slide but a jungle gym - created by kids for kids with the help of Dad & Christo. A fireman pole, cargo net, bridge, tunnel and tyre climb wall plus more! For use only with adult supervision, get ready to be exhausted!! Thank you to the kids that worked super hard this week in warm Spring days to make this ready for the weekend 😀

It's still officially Winter yet our apricot trees are in full bloom (Vleiland valley is so colorful) and our fig trees just waking up after a very short hibernation. Time to stock up with glass jars because we know from experience that the day the apricots decide they're ready there's no time to look for jars! This valley grows the most gorgeous fruits & the preserves prepared by the women who live here are so much tastier than supermaket brands - wake up your taste buds & make a plan to visit a farming community to enjoy homemade, hand prepared preserves! (Just in case you want to ask - we're fully sold out of our preserves currently, this upcoming harvest we will make much, much more!)

It's WIP Wednesday (Work In Progress) - this beauty turned many heads as we transported it to our farm last week - what a difference a few days make when Christo gets into project mode! A very elderly & rusted Tuk Tuk has a new home here with us!

When we are gifted the hood of an old International tractor - make it useful! A beautiful table & am sure it will be a talking point. All wood repurposed & created by Christo. It's a stunner 😍

We love our winter landscaping! These cheerful daisies spread naturally each year & create such a beautiful blockade of bright vibrant colour during the day and close up tightly at sunset to wait for the sun next morning.
