100 Days of Kruger – Day 73 💜💙
The Broad-billed Roller is one of the most striking birds up in the far north. We spotted this beauty near Pafuri, perched high and glowing in the afternoon sun.

They’re slightly chunkier than the Lilac-breasted Roller, with deep chestnut underparts and that rich blue body that flashes when they take flight. Their rolling display flights are what gave the family its name, and they never fail to impress.
