THIS IS WHY WE DO IT
From being scared, permanently pregnant, too thin to effectively feed yourself and your puppies to being happy, well fed and well looked after.
The Mpumalanga Community Service Vets have so far sterilised a grand total of 193 dogs and cats since Elsmarie Owen and myself have started to organise these sterilisation days.
That is a huge number and the joy of seeing happy, healthy friendly dogs when we go and check up on their conditions is immense.
We need your help AGAIN. PLEASE. We need Anti Tick and Flea Treatment, blankets (especially since winter is coming up) dog and cat food.
The owners of these pets are extremely grateful and the pictures prove it. The dogs no longer wander to scavenge for food, they play, they allow you to pat them and to love them. They no longer have to be pregnant! There are fewer dogs that will be abused and/or starved in the future.
Our next Sterilisation Initiative is on Tuesday April 30th and we already have 36 dogs and cats lined up - too many - another day will have to be organised.
MIdfeeds Nelspruit and SAVA very kindly give us a very good rate on food and medication respectively.
Please either donate blankets, food or medication or donate into our bank account in order for us to get what we need.
We might even be able to hydrate the vets!!!!

Taking the 4 large fur kids on holiday can be a bit of a logistical nightmare.
Firstly making sure that their bed at the back of the bakkie is super comfy with their custom made mattress and duvet’s; Making sure that the back seat is kitted out with the dog sling for the geriatric, seizure boy - he has to be close to us at all times. Then you need to make sure that you select safe and suitable p*e and poo spots and of course ensure that everything is picked up. Once you get to the chosen pet friendly accommodation - in this case Blue Roan Guest Farm in the Magaliesburg you have to make sure that you cover all furniture with sheets and towels that you have managed to pack in the ammo boxes strapped to the roof rack. This is because Bella and would like to settle in immediately. Then you need to unpack the dog medical aid kit and their food and treats and there might have been space for your clothes!
Another fantastic week away and thank you to Judy and Bryan at Blue Roan. Everything is always perfect for the dogs and ourselves.
