Na na Be Lodge literally saved my life.
My beautiful daughter got married at ### ### Brewery just round the corner from Na Na Be.
Family and friends from all over World attended.
Long story short...
On the Friday before the wedding my car broke down in front of the Kingsley Cooldrink Depot
Left the car and organised mechanic to come fix or sort out whatever the problem was.
We stayed an extra night after the wedding too.
I was assured by the mechanics my vehicle would be fixed and delivered to me Sunday late morning.
All guests family and friends left and booked out of various Lodges, guesthouses ext.
I stayed behind waiting for my car, not worried.
Late Sunday morning came and went...... Sunday noon came and went. ### main Restaurant closes at 20h00.
Was convinced surely by the then my car should be delivered to me.
Had a meal at ### restaurant and a couple of drinks. Got worried and asked them if I could possibly get a room for the evening.
All booking staff unfortunately all gone
Home by then. Asked the restaurant Manager if he could somehow arrange something, anything.
Owner of ###x was in the restaurant all the time I was there with friends or colleagues, whoever.....
Saw the restaurant manager asking the or explaining outside to the owner.
Owner point blankly refused.
I was asked to leave, they couldn't help me.
99% of there rooms available.
This the very day after the function and all accommodation was booked and paid for by family.
Got Na Na Be's, Linda from one of the staff earlier the day, booking a room - ( was much earlier that day)
Cancelled with Na Na Be at about 18h00 as I was assured my car would be with me long before 20h00.
Needless to say that didn't happen.......
I had to leave ### as the wanted to close gates and all staff left go home.
I phoned Linda again at about 20h30 same night, begging for a place to sleep.
She never hesitated, and wanted to send her daughter to come get me as I was now in the middle of nowhere, pitch dark, no clue where Na Na Be was and no way to get there.
I arranged lift with the taxi driver getting ###
staff home to please get me to Na Na Be.
Linda was waiting for me at her gate, we drove to the Lodge, where she showed me my room, and later brought me some coffee and to see if all was fine.
5 star service from Linda, had a lovely shower and relaxed
The room was beautifully and cleaned even on short notice.
Had breakfast in the morning, and she even offered to assist in arranging transport for me back to Pretoria, but a friend was almost ready to pick me up as I arranged it previous evening.
Keep in mind Linda was willing to help me and she even said that I don't have to worry about the bill as she wasn't really expecting more guests.
Na Na Be really went that extra mile.
I was treated like vip guest, and I will recommend anybody to check availability at Na Na Be if you are in that area..
