When the sun goes down at Izakithi, a different world wakes up. 🌙

The Crocodile River comes alive with the deep grunts of hippos leaving the water to graze. Somewhere across the border in Kruger, a lion roars, and you hear it from your bed, the sound rolling through the night and right through you. 🦁

Above, the sky opens up, just a sky so full of stars you’ll forget to look away. ✨

And at the center of it all is the fire. 🔥 A drink in hand, family and friends around you, stories of the day’s sightings, and laughter carried into the dark.

Nine months ago we opened the doors at Izakithi not knowing what to expect.
Since then we’ve welcomed guests for over 100 nights, learned something from every single stay, and kept building the villa around that feedback. 😍

At Izakithi River Villa, every bedroom is inspired by Africa’s most iconic wildlife and designed to bring you closer to nature, in comfort:

Three of our bedrooms open directly onto the river… where mornings might start with elephants passing by and evenings with hippos in the distance.

These bedrooms can be set as double or twin beds, making them perfect for families or friends traveling together.

Some of our rooms take it even further with outdoor showers and even an outdoor bath, so you can truly immerse yourself in the wild, under the sky. ✨

One bedroom is tucked on the garden side, offering a quieter, more private atmosphere 🌿

And then there’s the cottage: your own little escape.
A separate space with its own kitchen and private garden, ideal if you want a bit more independence while still being part of the Izakithi experience.
