This 400ha farm boasts four chalets that can accommodate up to 20 people. A huge lapa with boma, pool-table & table-tennis table offers the excursionist uncomplicated surroundings to simmer down and unwind in. the swimming pool is provocatively situated in the centre of the lodge and is a necessity with the summer temperatures that can climb well up to the high 30's and day-time winter temperature

s which averages at 23 degrees Celsius. A fully equipped open-plan kitchen completes the practical self-catering facilities the lodge offers. But what makes a visit to this lodge truly Epic, is the fenced-off lion camp which surrounds the lodge. The 3 ha camp around the lodge accommodates 1 male and 2 female lions to provide visitors with an authentic African-Lion experience. They will be the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning and you can listen to the King roar when you relax at the bonfire at night.

At **Elands River Lodge**, our tortoises roam freely through the beautiful bushveld, reminding us that nature is best enjoyed at its own pace. ❤️

🐢 **They can live a very long life!** Some tortoise species can live for **50–100 years or even longer.**

☀️ **They love the sunshine!** Tortoises are cold-blooded, which means they use the warmth of the sun to help regulate their body temperature.

🏡 **Their shell is part of them!** A tortoise’s shell is connected to its bones and acts as natural protection.

🥬 **What’s on the menu?** Tortoises enjoy grasses, leaves, flowers and other plants.

🌳 **They belong in the bushveld!** Our tortoises are part of the natural environment, and it is important that we protect them and allow them to live freely.

🐾 **Slow doesn’t mean boring!** These little explorers may take their time, but they are perfectly suited to their natural surroundings.
