Torburnlea Homestead offers luxury accommodation in a magnificent, century-old heritage home set in the secure Mataffin Macadamia Village within the Kruger Lowveld region, Nelspruit. This H.L. Hall family heritage homestead offers luxurious accommodation in a quiet and restful environment with beautifully appointed bedrooms and modern amenities. Country style cooked breakfasts are served with homemade preserves, fresh fruit juice and filter coffee in the elegant dining room. Thought and passion have gone into the finest of details in this carefully restored homestead. With an interest in environmental sustainability, special attention has been given to the use of water and energy saving efficient fixtures, the use of re-cycled materials and locally sourced stone. Torburnlea is the perfect place from which to explore the Kruger Lowveld region and is an ideal gateway to the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Mozambique and many other places of interest.

While celebrating Heritage Day in South Africa today, we think of our ancestors, HL and Grace Hall - farming pioneers who planted the seeds of our family heritage back in the 1890’s. Part of their dedication and resilience resulted in the creation of our family homestead which has provided ‘rest for the weary traveler’ throughout the years.

Make Torburnlea Homestead yours this festive season, with the home reserved exclusively for you and your loved ones.

Set within peaceful gardens, framed by a wide veranda and steeped in Lowveld history, our century-old heritage home offers a quiet and elegant setting for long summer days, shared meals and unhurried time together.

Stay five nights and only pay for four when you book for the following dates:
23 – 28 December 2026
29 December 2026 – 3 January 2027
(A minimum stay of five nights is required over this time.)

Your stay will include:
• Private use of the homestead
• Farmhouse breakfasts
• Light housekeeping

Linger over long breakfasts, spend afternoons on the veranda, and make Torburnlea Homestead your home for the festive season while exploring the Lowveld at your own pace.
