Mcgregor is celebrating our Zesty Fest.
Visit the village on Saturday, sample some limoncello from local lemons, send the kids to make some pottery for Dad, or run to Kuns Koimbus where they have some excellent Father’s Day gifts!
Then on Sunday, sit back, relax, have a braai, have several braais! Each Suite has their own, you, your father and your child free uncle can each have their own braai. And no worries, there is a fire extinguisher for that uncle who knows very little about braaing!

Kecil Cottage also has the most amazing built in braai in its courtyard! You can’t escape the need to braai!

Though the 2 main roads to McGregor have been damaged from the storm, we can still be reached via some lesser used and far more beautiful roads.

If you’re coming via Robertson, stay on the 317 to Bonnievale and follow the signs to Boesmansdam and Stormsvlei.
If you’re journeying from the N2, turn at Stormsvlei, and travel the most beautiful winding road past the Riviersonderend mountains.

From one day to the next, a devastating storm on Monday (luckily McGregor Village was saved from the worst of it) to the utter serenity of Tuesday evening.
The skies - gentle. The water - calm. The frogs and water loving critters, singing with joy.

To be here is to be in awe of all that the world gives us.

End of the Harvest Season and we had a little party with our amazing, dedicated, and hilarious farm team and their families. A warm sunny day, the traditional lamb on the spit, cool beers, and a swim in the pool. A beautiful day all round.

This week the cold took hold, and the rain set in. But last week, Mother Nature was undecided, with hot, sunny days and rapidly cooling nights. Thus, we got to witness the thunder clouds rolling in and some of the most dramatic sunsets.
There is no filter on that first image. The sun had gone down but the high thunderous clouds were deep dark red at their summits.

The Olive trees are resplendent with their late season bounty. This is our last harvest until the summer arrives again.
Guests on the farm get a jar of our produce with their stay, whether it be a jar of our olives or a jar of jam from our orchards.
