Palala River Cottages are self-catered bush cottages in a private game reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. There are 2 different cottages to suit the needs of specific guest parties plus a small bush camp. ottage set alone on the river makes it perfect for a peaceful bush escape. It is fully equipped and has a log fire for winter evenings. Wildlife can be viewed from it's shaded veranda. Secondly there is Kingfisher cottage - a converted farmhouse overlooking the Palala river with expansive views. It can sleep up 10 guests between the farmhouse and two en-suite rondavels in the garden, The cottage has it's own splash pool, braai area, outside dining and covered parking for 2 vehicles. Lastly we have Podica bush camp. 3 traditional safari rondavels situated on the bank of the Palala River. Each is fully equipped and has it's own outside braai area and outdoor shower. The 3 cottages can be taken out individually or as a group. Across the range of well- appointed, fully equipped cottages we can accommodate couples, families and small parties - Please contact us with any specific requests or enquiries. Access is simple- just a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg, of which 10km is on sand road. Transfers can also be arranged.
