The Deck Cafe is open from 9 to 4 on weekdays and 9 to 1 on weekends.

We are so excited to invite everyone to the 6th Montagu Herb Festival this year! On the weekend of 28 to 30 August out town will transform into the herb capital of the country, with talks, open gardens, a herb-inspired market, workshops and demonstrations for everyone.

Petrus will host a steam distillation demonstration of our farm lavender on

Learn all the details, intricacies and alchemy of distilling your own herbs!

Liana will host an indigenous healing plant walk on the slopes of the Cogmans mountain behind

She will explain the healing properties of over 25 Fynbos and Renosterveld species and the walk includes a hand-out

Our team will be there to welcome you!

And also guide you through the wonderful herb garden at Joubert House (with a booklet on the healing plants)

There will be informative walks at a few key open gardens in Montagu, including the Nature Garden

Herbal Food Demonstrations by local chefs

Herbal Flower Crown and wreath workshops

A diverse market at the Mission Church from Friday to Sunday (and our will have a stall!)

We cannot wait for Montagu's most magical night of the year! The Art Deco Long Table in Church Street, Montagu..

Everyone wears 1920's attire, we drink Martini's and dine on the most exquisite fare produced by an ensemble of local restaurants. Swing music creates an authentic atmosphere and impromptu dances happen on the tarmac once reserved for cars.

We still have accommodation for the weekend and there might still be a few tickets left: contact the Montagu Tourism Office for more last minute cancellations. This is an event not to be missed!
