Home made chicken pies awaiting our guests after lockdown. Looking forward to welcoming our guests back to our small private guest farm. All rooms have individual patios with splendid views overlooking the Vineyard.

A working vineyard and B&B in a charming historic village at the foot of the mountains inland from the N2. Louise and Lauren are the proprietors along with their two feisty pugs. Our room was #4, a very private room that is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The main house is a few steps away and it’s spectacular – old wood ceilings, giant slate fireplace, and eclectic furnishings. Seriously, small (and large) treasures abound here, like giant paintings from the early 20th century to a tribal drum used as a table. Breakfast at the Vineyard Country House is a farm-to-table gourmet experience. From homemade chili jelly and homemade orange preserves to fresh ginger orange nut bread. The presentation is an art in itself, then you have the food and realize that's art as well. No detail was too small for Louise and Lauren – from the room décor to the welcome glass of wine and the excellent music playlist to the epicurean breakfast, they strove to make us feel at home. Honestly, skip Franschhoek and stay here. Louise and Lauren gave us advice on vineyards to visit locally, and the rest of wine country is close enough for day trips from their place. The warm welcome and wicked cool vibe of the Vineyard Country House ensures we will travel halfway around the world again to return here.
