We’re delighted to welcome Craig Pelser, aka The Bearded Chef, to the kitchen at The Deck @ Morgan Bay Hotel.

Craig joins us as we start a new chapter for our kitchen – with fresh ideas, exciting flavours and plenty of passion for good food and genuine hospitality. We’ve got some delicious things in the works and can’t wait to share what’s cooking. 👀

For us, great food is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the people behind it, the guests around the table, the team that makes it happen and the wonderful community we’re lucky enough to be part of.

So, Craig, welcome aboard! We’re very happy to have you with us and can’t wait to see (and taste!) what you bring to Morgan Bay. 🥂🍴

Could this be your next camping spot? ⛺

When Morgan Bay Hotel opened its doors 80 years ago, the caravan park was already part of the vision – giving holidaymakers the choice to stay in the hotel or under the stars.

Today, the park continues to welcome campers right on the edge of the Inchara Lagoon, with shady sites, electricity, picnic benches and braai facilities. There’s also a bowling green at the heart of the park.

And the beautiful Morgan Bay beach? Just a short walk away. 🌊

Who doesn’t love a treasure hunt? 👀

Just a 4 km walk from Morgan Bay Hotel, Treasure Beach at Double Mouth Nature Reserve is the perfect spot for a little beachcombing. After big tides and winter storms, colourful carnelian beads from the wreck of the Santo Espirito, which sank here in 1608, can sometimes wash ashore.

A beautiful coastal walk, a little history and perhaps a 400-year-old treasure to discover. 💙

We highly recommend heading out with Morgan Bay Adventures for a little rock climbing and abseiling along our spectacular coastal krantzes.

For the thrill-seekers, there’s a 24-metre abseil high above the ocean – while climbers can choose from a range of routes to suit their experience.

It’s a brilliant way for the whole family to get outdoors, try something new and see the Wild Coast from a whole new perspective.
