You’d need to go a long way to get a more authentic beach cottage than Fonteintjies. What really sets this getaway apart though is its position. Set amidst the Fransmanshoek Conservancy, a private nature reserve, just 4km from Vleesbaai, the cottage gazes out over a small bay and beach, just a stones throw from the front patio …
Taking a look at the layout, you can sleep a total of 10 guests into
Fonteintjies. The main house consists of three bedrooms - a main with double bed, a twin and a single room (with additional pull out bed). There is an extra annex outbuilding which houses two sets of bunk beds, a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. A small lounge area with TV and DVD and a seperate toilet. Sleeping an additional four (perfect for those teenage tagalongs!). The annex is also available to rent seperately. The living room has a scattering of comfortable couches and a TV. It leads to the kitchen which is fully equipped for self catering, there’s even a dishwasher! Bathroom wise, you've got a shared bathroom with bath, a separate loo and an outdoor enclosed hot shower. All towels and linen are supplied. Leading off from the lounge is a spacious patio which wraps around the house and is likely to be the spot where you’ll be putting your feet up, while the kids play down on the beach. The ocean views from here are superb. There is a large braai area behind the cottage with a dart board. Worth mentioning is that your friendly hosts, Suné and Ludwig live about 50m from Fonteintjies in their own house (don’t worry, you’re assured plenty of privacy). Ludwig, a private chef is available to whip up meals for you on request, while Suné can suggest some walks and trails along the coastline, a great way to explore this secluded part of the world. With an awesome location, easy going vibe and great surroundings to explore, waking up at Fonteintjies is bound to be an experience you’ll never forget.
