Diaz Hotel and Resort, Mossel Bay

Diaz Hotel and Resort is looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and physically fit Gardener to join our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the hotel’s beautiful gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
Install, plant, and maintain seasonal flowers, shrubs, and trees across the property
Mow lawns, edge pathways, fertilize green spaces, and trim hedges and bushes
W**d, mulch, and water garden beds to promote healthy plant growth
Keep walkways, parking areas, and outdoor spaces neat and free of debris
Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, strimmers, and leaf blowers
Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, and apply treatments when necessary
Work independently and alongside the maintenance team to maintain high landscaping standards
Requirements
Proven experience as a gardener, preferably in the hospitality or estate industry
Good knowledge of local plant life, seasonal flowers, and pest control methods
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely use and maintain landscaping machinery
Strong attention to detail and pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces

About the Role:
Diaz Hotel & Resort is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems to ensure the smooth operation of all facilities across the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
Install pipe systems, fixtures, and plumbing components including sinks, toilets, and water heaters
Conduct routine maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, including leak detection and drain clearing
Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on plumbing systems
Cut, bend, thread, and assemble pipes as required for installations and repairs
Prepare work areas and ensure all installations meet operational requirements
Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a plumber in a residential, commercial, or hospitality environment
Relevant trade certification or qualification in plumbing
Strong understanding of plumbing systems, tools, and materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information:
This is an Employment Equity (EE) position, and preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates in line with the company’s EE plan.
