Edward Charles Manor History
In 1997 the then owner of No 1 Sixth Avenue, decided to change the existing house into a guesthouse.
Whilst bust with excavations the builders came upon a little tin box with the following contents: a piece of bread, 2 coins, a tiny Bible, a button and the contract between the owner and builder. The contract was dated in 1933, 24 November, to be exact.
The owner was a Mr EDWARD CHARLES DE SWARTD.
