Our guest house has been trading as a bed & breakfast guest house style for 4 years now. It is a stunning 3 story, 7 bedroom house nestled on 11 hectares on the slopes of a fynbos clad hillside and farmlands in Aalwyndal, Mossel Bay, in the Western Cape, South Africa. As the house stands high and proud on the slopes of a kopje, one can easily view a variety of animal life, from horses and donkeys to goats and awassi sheep. We keep our own chickens and serve free range eggs to our guests during breakfast. We also grow our own pesticide free tomatoes and herbs, which we also use for breakfast. We house our very own barn owl family and two massive tortosies that have made their home here and which we think are around 80 years old each. In the near future our guests will also be able to see springboks as well as zebra, as we are in the process of purchasing these animals and building a small dam in front of the house.
This is the perfect retreat for travellers. Not only will they be able to take in the tranquil surrounds of the countryside and appreciate the magnificent views of both the Outeniqua Mountains and the coast, they will also be only 5 minutes drive to either the popular and recently upgraded and developed Hartenbos, or the quaint town of Mossel bay and their main beaches. The house is only 2.8 km from the N2 national highway and Langeberg Mall. It receives a lovely sea breeze and cools down even on a hot summer day. We have recently put in a garden whirlpool bath which our guests have been enjoying. In the winter, two of the rooms and the lounge on the ground floor have gas fireplaces and the rest of the rooms have heaters and all beds have electric blankets.
We offer uncapped super fast premium WiFi access to all of our guests. We offer three lounges ( one on each floor ) and selected rooms have private seating so that our guests can communicate with friends and loved ones far away and share their South African adventures with without any gripes or hassles.
Above is a view of the property from the back but it was shot during this dry winter, so it isn’t looking as green as it normally does but it does give you an idea of the situation of the house and some of the views.
If people want to eat at the house they are welcome to use our braai facilities which you can see to the right of the house near the back in the above photo.
You are more than welcome to visit our website to see what this little piece of heaven looks like on the inside. http://flymetothemoon.travel/delux-rooms
