Kamberg Valley Hideaway is located in a peaceful and tranquil part of the Drakensberg. If you are looking for a break away from the stress of everyday life, then visit us at Kamberg Valley Hideaway, only 35kms from Nottingham Road, 200kms from Durban Airport and about 450kms from Johannesburg. The property is 27.4ha and has a dam about one hectare in size which is well stocked with rainbow trout.
Guests can also take a stroll down to the Little Mooi River, which borders the property and enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of nature and the sound of the flowing river. We are also within in a stone's through of Highmoor Nature Reserve, were you can enjoy leisurely walks on the foothills of the Drakensberg, or if fishing is your hobby, try your luck in their well stocked trout fishing dams. Kamberg Nature Reserve is 11kms away and here you can take a hike with a guide to some of the best Bushman's Rock Art Painting in South Africa. We also have a crane sanctuary close by, horse trails are available down the road, and we offer photography workshops, to those of you who are budding photographers. The accommodation is self-catering, but extremely spacious and luxurious. We have three different self catering cottages that sleep from 2 to 6 people. All the cottages have fully equipped kitchens with gas hobs, electric ovens, microwaves and a fridge / freezer. The kitchen / living and dining areas are all open plan and open on to private patio / braai areas, containing a braai, outside dining table and chairs and have stunning mountain views with lots of privacy! We can only accommodate a maximum of 14 guests, so this is the perfect place to escape for a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! If you don't wish to cook each night, the local pub cooks up some delicious meals and we also have another restaurant 2kms away, where you can treat yourselves to a scrumptious 7 course evening meal.
