Kvalsvig Cottage is a quiet, spacious, self-catering, pet-friendly beach cottage in natural bush next to a secluded beach and lagoon in Munster (Glenmore Beach/Port Edward) on the KZN South Coast. Nestled in sub-tropical coastal bush 100 metres from the beach, Kvalsvig Cottage provides a perfect holiday for families, groups of friends, nature-lovers, bird-watchers, or anyone looking for a relaxing
getaway. The secluded, unspoilt and pet-friendly Munster beach at Dolphin Bay, combined with the lagoon and rock pools, provides magical seaside fun. A sandbank makes for gentle ocean swims at low tide and a good shore-break at high tide for the more adventurous. The beach and estuary are clearly visible on Google Earth at 30º 59.9’S 30º 16.135’E. Officially they should be on a leash but our beach is never very busy so you can let your dogs run free, as long as they don't run into the bush and disturb ground-nesting birds and other wildlife, or annoy people. The house is designed for easy living with spacious living areas and large sliding doors to outdoor sitting areas. The central courtyard provides a safe outside area for small children and dogs, and a sunny shelter from the wind on blustery days. There is a braai, a large, outside dining table for meals under the sun or stars, loungers and other outdoor furniture for sitting back and enjoying the peace, and a cold, outdoor shower for freshening up after the beach. The Wild Coast Casino, Mpenjati Nature Reserve, Umtamvuna Gorge and Nature Reserve, two world-class golf courses, and various shops, restaurants and pubs are all a short drive away. Third bedroom off lounge/dining room – two single beds with built-in cupboard, chest of drawers
Fourth bedroom/children’s room – bunk bed for two + two single beds, built-in cupboard, 2 tables, toy box. Separate shower. Outside room – double bed, en suite shower, basin and toilet with free-standing cupboard and chest of drawers, tea/coffee station. Quality cotton bed linen is provided for all the bedrooms. Blow heaters and extra blankets for the rare cold night. Towels are NOT provided. BRING OWN BEACH AND BATH TOWELS. Kitchen with 4-plate gas oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, chest freezer, bar fridge, washing machine, toaster, kettle, pots and pans, cooking utensils, iron and ironing board
