Hawklee County house has self-catering cottages with the option to book breakfasts. Most of our cottages have beautiful views of the Lions River.

Situated in the KZN Midlands we have stand alone thatched cottages with amazing views overlooking the Lions river Hawklee Country House is set on 17 acres of unspoiled Midlands beauty, on the banks of the Lions River. We offer self-catering accommodation in our 6 spacious free standing thatched cottages with an option to book breakfasts. All accommodation is en-suite and every Hawklee guest suite

features a private spa bath. We also have a beautiful private Honeymoon suite for that romantic get-a-way. Should you wish to take a gentle stroll and have a picnic alongside the river we offer picnic baskets full of delicious treats to tempt the taste buds. We are close to all amenities of the Midlands Meander and the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains and only 1 ½ hours pleasurable drive to the coast.

This bird is a true forest gem, with its plumage a stunning mix of buff and brown, and a fluffy tail that's hard to miss. It's a secretive bird, but if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of it foraging for insects and seeds on the forest floor.

This small hotel nestled in a valley, surrounded by mountains and water, has gained high online ratings due to the meticulous care of its owner, Tanya Martin. Every detail in the rooms reflects the romantic nature of the owner. Waking up in the morning, one is greeted by the sounds of birds and the fragrance of blooming flowers. Tanya Martin personally prepares breakfast each day, changing the flavors, colors, and food combinations to tantalize the taste buds. The unique scenery, delicious food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service have attracted many guests from Germany, the UK, and France. Before leaving, many guests leave a big thumbs-up for Tanya Martin.
