Meet Nhlanhlo, Khanyisile and Bongiwe, three remarkable women whose care, dedication and pride can be seen in every corner of the Fordoun gardens.

Tranquillity is found in the smallest details here, even in the way the leaves are swept. Mindful and deeply connected to the land and the spirit of Fordoun, the ladies still use traditional branch sweepers, a simple and beautiful reminder of the care and respect with which these gardens are tended.

With their hands in the soil and a deep respect for Mother Nature, they nurture the spaces that bring so much beauty, peace and life to Fordoun. From season to season, their work is woven into the landscape, growing, tending and caring for the land with heart.

We are incredibly proud of these women and grateful for the beauty they help create every day.
