I want to keep this wonderful place all to myself, so I am tempted not to write this review! The situation of this cottage is absolutely fabulous - you cannot stay closer to the Cathedral Peak, the mountains are inspiring, the peace is restorative. You don't need to leave the house and the garden (full of birds), except that you do need to explore the beautiful and well-maintained mountain and waterfall walks. The cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend - one of the best breakaways ever.

The venue is exquisite and rustic. The views are spectacular and the silence amongst nature, is breathtaking. Best sleep in the world and Sue is spectacular, in terms of the venue management. Will definitely be back soon!

This is a cottage with character. It does not have 5 star hotel finishings but it does have a 5 star location. The cottage has its own special quirkiness. The showers are good bathrooms fit the ambience of the cottage. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Gloria, the house keeper is great. Thanks for great memories created at Cathedral Cottage.

Another weekend at our home from home - lots of wonderful rain on the first day led to creative photography but Sunday saw sunshine and a lovely, muddy hike rewarded by a Eland sighting - love Cathedral Cottage 🥰

When we arrived at the beautiful Cathedral Cottage, Gloria was waiting for us to help us with our luggage and give us a tour of the cottage. The cottage was pristine - there is so much space (even a pantry and freezer, to cater for a very long stay!) We were sorry that our stay was for the weekend only, but will surely come back for a longer visit (maybe in winter so we can make use of the lovely fire places and read some of the books Sue has stacked on the bookshelf . . . )

Spent a great weekend at Cathedral Cottage recently - very dry and recent fires made a patchwork of the landscape. Amazing plant life bursting through the burnt earth.
