Daar is iets aan die vrede van die Oranjerivier wat ’n mens net weer laat asemhaal. Hier by Wilger Rus gaan dit oor oomblikke wat werklik saak maak. ’n Stil oggend op die grasperk met die reuk van vars koffie, en die voorreg om die natuur se skoonheid in totale privaatheid te aanskou.

Wilger Rus is vir ons ’n passie. 🌿

Elke dag word daar met hart en siel deur die eienaar, bestuurder en ons span op die perseel gewerk. Ons het ’n onstuitbare liefde vir die natuur en vir daardie perfekte groen gras.

Na jare se swoeg en sweet het ons uiteindelik ’n pragtige graspark gevestig (kyk gerus na die eerste vier foto’s). Dit het vir ’n paar jaar besonders goed gegaan, maar toe kom klop "Mnr. Snywurm" onverwags aan.

Binne slegs drie dae het hy ons grasperk letterlik opgevreet – tot 70% daarvan was skielik net weg. 😬🤯

Dit was op daardie punt wat ons besluit het om nie moed op te gee nie. Ons het van voor af begin plant en binne ses maande kon ons weer hierdie paradys herskep. Dit was niks anders as genade en seën van Bo nie. 🙏✨

Wat die natuur ons geleer het: Ons is nou fyn ingestel op die natuur se vroeë waarskuwingstekens. Wanneer die Hoep-hoepe in groot groepe op die gras begin p*k, weet ons die wurms is weer op pad. Selfs nog voor die voëls, sien ons die klein wit motte wat hul eiers kom lê, nog ’n teken wat ons nou dadelik optel.

Ons gebruik nou ’n baie effektiewe middel wat spesifiek net op die wurms fokus, sodat alle ander organismes en goggas ongedeerd bly. Ons is nou gerat en kon die wurms al twee keer suksesvol vroegtydig keer deur bloot saam met die natuur te werk.
