On Feb 2, 1659 Jan van Riebeek wrote in his diary; " Today, praise be God, wine was made for the first time from Cape grapes". This was probably Chenin Blanc, so ideal moment to release our first Tempel Wines white "Kattemaai" Chenin Blanc/Sémillon from old vines planted in 1905 !
