Meet the friendly faces behind Afrika Pearl, Johan and Christelle!

Johan is a third-generation van Rensburg, born right here in this very house back when it was built around 1900, so when you stay with us, you're staying somewhere steeped in family history (and Johan's endless stories about hidden Paarl gems most visitors never find).

Christelle, a qualified nurse by training, brings that same warmth and care to every guest, along with a firm belief that a proper stay isn't complete without some quality time perfecting the art of 'stoep-sitting' on our veranda.

Together, they'll make sure your stay feels less like a hotel booking and more like coming home.

Winter doesn't mean staying indoors, it just means doing things a little differently.

Just a short walk from our guesthouse, is the Berg River, especially beautiful this time of year, full and flowing with that soft winter light on the water and next to it the Arboretum, one of our favourite quick escapes.

Even on a wintery day, it's a lovely spot to stretch your legs among the trees before heading back to us to warm up.

Sometimes the best part of a stay is what's right on your doorstep!🌿
