There is something very magical about our Winter sun which is slowly creeping up and throwing a soft glow on everything it touches! The best time is early morning on the veranda with a cup of coffee, catching the first sun rays folding like a warm blanket around ones legs . I just love the winter sun ! Parys is a great destination to come and soak up the last autumn nostalgia - It takes you back to memories of old world charm, comfort food, and quiet rest . The place to be this Autumn

The African Livestock Trade Fair (ALFA SHOW 2018) is in full swing at the Afridome . Parys Guest Houses are filling up for this event and it is difficult for the late comers to find accommodation.We are so proud of Parys hosting incredible events and shows . Viva Parys!!

The boerperd - our very own South African Breed ! They came with the Voortrekkers over the Drakensberg, were involved in the Anglo Boer Wars and some were tragically shot by the English on the Boer Farms . Luckily many survived . Today we can be truly proud of a horse with a trustworthy, robust and alert temperament. How blessed we are here in Parys to be able to get to know many horse breeds through their participation at shows at the Afri Dome . We also want to welcome the owners of these wonderful animals , who attend these shows year after year. We at Green Door are looking forward welcoming you and trust you will enjoy your stay with us again from Monday 25-Sa 30 June .
