Cape Buffalo may look like they have a calm bovine demeanour but don’t catch them in a bad mood!

Amakhala’s buffalo herds have been thriving in recent years, with many calves born and Red-billed Oxpeckers doing a great job of controlling the parasites that target these megaherbivores (see photo 2).
