August ( Phato) in Sesotho means -fata, which means "to dig," because people traditionally begin digging, ploughing, and preparing their fields during this time for the new planting season....

For us here at Rhino Heritage Park ,we are digging holes to plant trees come September (Lwetse).

In collaboration with Elandskop Museum,other museums and organizations, we have exciting activities lined up for Spring/Summer 2026.

Locals take this profession for granted, while unemployment is real. Imagine the possibilities.

Rangers are conservation professionals who protect wildlife, support scientific research, assist visitors, respond to emergencies and help safeguard our natural heritage.
