There’s always something happening at Baluleni Safari Lodge! 😂🐒🌿

Today’s entertainment on the banks of the Olifants River: Baboon TV – live and completely unscripted! 😂

Arguing, wrestling, playing, chasing each other, climbing trees – and, of course, very loudly discussing who’s actually in charge. 🐒🙈🙉

The little ones are right in the middle of it all, while the adults keep an eye on things… or simply join the chaos themselves.

Just normal family life, really. Only a little hairier and definitely much louder! 😂

And us? We have front-row seats to the whole show.

Never a dull moment at Baluleni! 🐘🌿❤️

Ganz normales Familienleben eben. Nur etwas haariger und definitiv lauter. 😂

🐘 Winter at Baluleni…

The bush is dry.
Water is precious.
And this is the time when they come closer.

Our elephants. 🤎

Quietly, almost silently, they wander through the lodge – between the chalets, beneath the trees, down to the river.

Sometimes just a few metres away.

No fences.
No barriers.
Just wildlife… exactly where it belongs.

And no matter how often we experience these moments, we never stop watching in awe.

Because this is not just a safari.

This is living in the heart of the wild. 🐘🌿

🐘 Safari roadblocks are always something special… but this one got VERY close! 😳

When a herd of elephants decides the road belongs to them, there’s only one thing to do: stop, stay calm and enjoy the moment.

But when one of these gentle giants gets curious and starts checking out the safari vehicle with its trunk… your heartbeat definitely changes. 😅🐘

Respect. Silence. Adrenaline.
And one of those unforgettable moments that reminds you: out here, we are the visitors. 🌿❤️

🐘✨ Was für ein magischer Moment! ✨🐘

Pünktlich zum Mittagessen bekamen wir heute ganz besonderen Besuch in der Baluleni Safari Lodge: Eine ganze Elefantenherde zog leise und majestätisch direkt durch unsere Lodge am Restaurant vorbei. 🌿🤍

Für einen Moment schien die Zeit stillzustehen. Unsere Gäste legten das Besteck zur Seite und konnten ihren Blick nicht mehr von diesen sanften Riesen abwenden. Staunen, Gänsehaut und pure Faszination – genau diese Augenblicke machen eine Safari unvergesslich. 💚

Es sind diese unerwarteten Begegnungen, die zeigen, dass wir hier nur Gäste in der Heimat der Wildtiere sind. Und genau das macht Baluleni so besonders. 🐘🌍

Yesterday afternoon, the tiniest surprise wandered into our lodge… 🦒🤎

This precious baby giraffe, only a few days old, stopped by with her beautiful mama. Watching her take those wobbly little steps while staying close to her mother’s side was pure magic.

May she grow up strong, healthy, and safe in the African bush. Every giant giraffe starts out this small. ❤️

One pride. Around 14 lion cubs. 🦁❤️
We could hardly believe our eyes on today’s safari drive. Seeing so many playful little cubs together is incredibly rare and a reminder of how magical the African bush can be. ✨
