-5! The Lengau Lodge is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the GPNR. From the viewing deck above the restaurant and kitchen building you have a magnificent view over a large part of the GPNR. A bore hole that is only 50 meters from the main buildings attracts all kind of animals, like buffelos, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, warthogs and even lions!

Yesterday we were driving just before sunset, when we heard the territorial roaring of a lion. We went looking for him and found him eventually, just 2 meters from the path.
When we stopped he just ignored us and decided to let our guests from Germany hear what roaring of a male lion from up close sounds like…..

We just left the herd of buffalo’s and found a giraffe blocking our route through the bush. Nice road block!

A magnificent buffalo herd sighting this morning during the early morning game drive. The herd had over a hundred buffalo’s and was very relaxed, allowing us to stay in place and becoming surrounded by the buffalo’s. Making memories at Lengau Lodge.
