A flash of colour in the African bush! 💙 The lilac-breasted roller is one of Southern Africa’s most striking birds, recognised for its vibrant plumage and spectacular aerial displays. Often seen perched on exposed branches, it scans the ground for insects, small reptiles and other prey before swooping down to catch its next meal. A true little gem of the bushveld, reminding us that some of nature’s most beautiful moments are found in the smallest details. 🌿📸
