🌿 Have you ever wondered what Morokolo Safari Lodge stands for?

Our name comes from the beautiful indigenous Num-Num plant, known as “Morokolo” in Setswana. 🌱

And it’s that time of year again… our Morokolo bushes are bursting into flower! Their delicate, white, star-shaped flowers look beautiful against the glossy green leaves and add a little extra magic to the bush around us.

But there’s more to the Num-Num than just its flowers! 🌿 The plant produces small, plum-like fruits that turn dark red/purple when ripe and are edible. They are enjoyed by wildlife and can also be used to make jams and preserves.

So now you know… Morokolo isn’t just a name. It’s a little piece of the bush that inspired us. 🤍
