The elegant Mount Sheba Rainforest Hotel & Resort is situated near the historic town of Pilgrims Rest in South Africa's Mpumalanga Province, just off Robber's Pass. Set amongst mountains and surrounded by indigenous forests, it offers spectacular views of the Mpumalanga Highlands. Located close to some notable South Africa

An ideal overnight destination between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park and Panorama route activities. Take a walk through the forest to see if you can catch a glimpse of the rare Samango Monkey and Knysna Turaco. Even if you don't, you'll be surrounded by birdsong and beauty. The 25 hotel suites are en-suite, fitted with fireplaces, and offers tea/coffee facilities. Sumptuous dinners are served in the Chandelier Restaurant, while the “Owl and Trout” bar is a great place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks during your stay. In addition to the restaurant and bar area, the main complex of the hotel also houses a superbly decorated lounge. Breakfast is typically enjoyed in the poolside restaurant with sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Over 170 bird species have been recorded on and around the Mount Sheba property. Many of the more interesting species are confined to the forest but occur at low density, so patience and luck are required to find them. The forest fringe and wider trails offer the best opportunities. The grasslands, rocky outcrops, protea woodlands, and hotel gardens host different species. while rapotors, swifts, and swallows fly overhead.
