We are looking for an experienced HEAD CHEF to join our team in the Barrington’s kitchen 🔪🥕🫕

The demands of a venue this size which regularly hosts large scale events and weddings, in addition to regular service, necessitate that the following skills & abilities are a must -

* Proven experience running and managing a busy pass in an a la carte RESTAURANT kitchen

* Proven ability managing high volumes

* Minimum 5 years experience

* Proven culinary skills - a cook off will be requested for short listed candidates

* Can do attitude, multi tasker and problem solver

* Team player

* All candidates must reside or be able to reside permanently in Plettenberg Bay and have their own transport.

It’s that time of the year! Winter may be a garden’s quiet season but it is also the very best time to polish up the pruning shears and get out there! We are beyond thrilled to be hosting Rae Gilbert, the undisputed “Rose Queen” of Plettenberg Bay, in our next garden workshop - “Pruning 101” - on the 19th August.

With over 25 years of experience in designing and installing gardens throughout the Garden Route, Rae’s expertise on the pruning front are unmatched. Although best known for her award winning Bosky Dell Rose Garden, which is home to thousands of rose bushes, Rae’s upcoming workshop will also include guidelines on how to tackle fruit trees, vines, roses, lavender & fynbos! Rae will offer advice on tools, pruning for re-potting shrubs, before and after pruning tips, as well as an onsite pruning demonstration.
