It is with heavy hearts that we let you know that the legend that started what most of you have experienced at Firefly Falls under the original name of Rocky Road backpackers has passed away on the 25 of January 2025.

Rocky Reeder will be known by many of you who stayed under the Rocky Road era. He was a visionary together with his late partner in crime Ian Mac in creating most of what you see now when visiting us.

We personally met Rocky as young travelers back in 2003 and by fate ended up carrying on what he created.

Rocky, mate, your big smile and friendliness will be missed amongst the Plett community. Fly high and behave your self together with Mac up there.

We also want to send our love and condolences to his 2 boys Cam and Broden. May the memories live strong and forever in your hearts gents.
