Heritage Day is a beautiful reminder that South Africa is made up of so many stories, cultures, traditions and people, each adding something to the incredible place we call home.🇿🇦

So much of our space is inspired by the beauty around us. Handwoven baskets and natural textures to local ceramics, beadwork, earthy tones and the coastal landscapes that surround us, we love bringing little pieces of South African character into the areas we create.

A sun-drenched Monday, a breakfast spread worthy of champions and the ocean waiting beyond it.

Tis the season of whale blows in the distance, breaches flying into the air and mamas and calves keeping close by.🐋

But the whales are only part of the story.

Out beyond our balcony, the ocean is constantly putting on a show. Dolphins cutting through the water, seals bobbing between the waves, seabirds circling overhead and if you’re lucky, glimpses of some of the many other creatures that call this stretch of coastline home.

There is something wonderfully wild about Plett. We have this incredible diversity of marine life right on our doorstep and from Walkers Beach, you can quite literally have a ringside seat to the ocean.

Stay in, coffee in hand and watch it all unfold from the balcony. Or head out on the water with Ocean Blue Adventures (Ocean Blue Adventures) and experience it from a little closer.

It’s one of those things that reminds you just how special this little corner of the coast is.
