Amakaya Backpackers - no contact check-in, private rooms, no sharing necessary. Amakaya is located a 300m walk from Main Street shops and restaurants and 800m from Central Beach, our upstairs dining area and balcony offers magnificent views of the Tsitsikamma mountain range, the lagoon and the bay. This is a great place to relax after a busy day's activities or for the early risers to watch the su

nrise. The lounge and all rooms are equipped with TV and selected satellite channels. Wi-fi internet is available anywhere on the premises. We have a fully equipped kitchen and braai (BBQ) area where you can practice your cooking skills. Complimentary tea/coffee and wi-fi. Our rooms offer no contact check-in and check-out with no staff on the premises outside our reception hours of Monday-Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. No bookings accepted after 4.30pm weekdays and weekends. After making payment you will be sent the gate code and key-box code for your room by SMS (please ensure you provide us with a local number) on your day of arrival, allowing you to access your room without the need of time spent at reception to check in. We offer a variety of accommodation - rooms for a bit of privacy or dorms for the budget minded traveller. Our rooms and dorms are named after nearby popular mountain passes. All rooms and dorms have fridges, kettle, tea/coffee. Tradouw en-suite family room - Consists of a double bed and bunk beds for 2. Maximum 4 guests, kitchen area, en-suite bathroom, private entrance and garden, satellite TV, wi-fi, fan. Outeniqua family room - double bed and 2 bunk beds. Full bathroom, private balcony, valuables safe, TV in room, bar fridge, wi-fi, fan/heater. Homtini en-suite double room - double bed, bathroom, valuables safe, TV in room, bar fridge, wi-fi, fan/heater. Montagu twin room - 2 single beds,valuables safe, TV in room, bar fridge, wi-fi, fan/heater. Shared bathroom opposite the room. Kaaimans twin room - 2 single beds, valuables safe, TV in room, wi-fi, Fan/heater. Shared bathroom. Rooiberg twin room - 2 single beds, TV in room, wi-fi, fan/heater. Room has bathroom with toilet and wash basin en-suite. Showers are in shared bathroom next door to the room. Karatara private dorm - our only room with bunk beds - sleeps 2 in bunk beds, shared bathroom, TV, wi-fi.
