Wow, what wonderful news that we have the best beaches in Plett!! The life guards are on duty from 7am to 7pm on Lookout, Central, Robberg 1 and Robberg 5. What a great reason to plan a few days breakaway!! 🌊

We're so excited!! Bring on Friday! That's this Friday, 19 June @ 8am where you can join us in watching the live stream Penguin release🐧!
Normally we'd bundle up in jackets and scarves and head down to Lookout Beach to watch these adorables waddle across the sand and swim away into the ocean. This is going to be different and extra special 🐧

What better way to start your Friday than by watching four penguins waddle back into the sea. Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre and NVT along with guidance from CapeNature and support from PlettTourism, will be doing a live stream penguin release at 8am on the 19th June. Hard to believe this was 3 years ago! A memory etched in our minds forever. A memory of hope, strength and overcoming,
particularly in this trying time we are all facing today.

7 June 2017 devastating fires destroyed huge tracts of land and infrastructure in and around Plettenberg Bay, burning down formal and informal housing, and claiming several lives. This was one of the largest fire disasters South Africa has ever experienced.
