From her humble beginnings in a rural South African village to exile during apartheid, Professor Shisana has dedicated her life to transforming public health in South Africa and across the African continent.

In this compelling conversation, Professor Shisana reflects on her remarkable journey, the leadership lessons she has learned through decades of public service, and the personal experiences that inspired her autobiography, Seeing Through the Storm: Leading Through Crisis, launching on 9 August.

Watch her conversation on SABC's Channel Africa with Tsepiso Makwetla.

Tsepiso will also be MC at Olive Branch Lodge & Conference Center on 9th August at the launch of Prof Olive Shisana's Autobiography and celebration of Women's Day.
