Cannot believe its been a year since Adriaan passed away and being the same day of my birthday. .. it brings deep thoughts, great memories, sadness and happiness.

I constructed a beautifully illustrated coffee book with all Adriaan's creative images of Somkhanda - it reflects his passion for wild life, flora and the Gumbi community .This 100 page photographic book sits at reception of Somkhanda for all guests, fiends and family to enjoy. Images of coffee book will be shown in next post.

Management and staff of Somkhanda make sure his legacy lives on at Somkhanda.

An Epic Weekend at Somkhanda Game Reserve

We hosted an amazing group of international guests last week that requested to possibly experience not just the norm but rather true authentic mood and interactive African stay at Somkhanda.

We delivered...

From the soulful, sunrise yoga session over looking our waterhole to the thrill of catching a tiger fish at Jozini Dam off a double decker cruise boat, to having fun at a shooting range, to living the action of an incredible conservation activity with lions,to a full cultural immersion with the local Gumbi community and tasting their locally made beer and to top the busy days our guests relaxed into the magical- fairy lit wonderland dinner of traditional potjie under the canopy of our Tamboti forest.

Thank you to our management team and staff, to Ashley from Pawz who also worked tirelessly with Daniel and myself to create this exciting experience possible at Somkhanda.
