Alfred Golf Club and a mere kilometer away from a blue flag beach. Andrew's Tudor-styled elegance recalls a time when the resort entertained the Prince of Wales in 1925. Andrews building was originally completed in 1925 in time for the visit of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who stayed together with his entourage in the building. At the time, it was a small hotel which was owned by sergeant Major Dunn of the Highlander Regiment. And during World War II, it served as the Officers' Mess of the 43 Squadron. The Royal St Andrews Hotel offers an array of modern, luxury accommodation to complement its rich heritage. This includes a superior Honeymoon Suite and 9 Newly Renovated Heritage Rooms - all set in the Original 1924 St. Andrews Mansions building - as well as 50 recently built contemporary rooms. The Hotel boasts 4 sets of inter-leading family rooms and two wheel chair friendly rooms. Room amenities and facilities include Free High Speed Wi-Fi, individual climate control, In-Room Flat Screen televisions with select DSTV Channels, Lap Top Safes, Tea/Coffee Stations and minibar fridges. To ensure the lights are always on, a 500KVA generator has been installed which powers the entire hotel. The Hotel is also equipped with a 100 000 liter rain water catchment system which is used for irrigation. Municipal water is processed through two Reverse Osmosis Plants which provides all cold water taps with water as fresh and as clean as the best bottled water in the world. Catering to your every culinary need, Royal St. Andrews Hotel offers guests three lovely Restaurants. Whilst staying with us, guests can delight in a hearty Full English Breakfast served in the Paper Nautilus Deli (which also offers buffet lunches for groups) or they can indulge in a gourmet dinner, served in our upmarket al-la-carte Thistle Restaurant. For guest seeking a more laid-back, social experience we offer the Highlander Pub - famous for its Pub Meals and Highlander Brew and of course for the local saying . . . ."See you at the Highlander".
