Such a lovely article about the firefly sanctuary created by the Leisure bay conservancy... to be visited at sundown and into the early evening, especially on warm evenings... witness real magic... a delight for all ages!!

Fireflies are actually beetles; they have wings which tell them apart from glowworms but they belong to the same family.

For the 'birders'... see if you can spot our new garden resident... 12 o clock above the Crocosmias. Our indigenous garden is teaming with birdlife!! 126 species identified in Leisure Bay, 86 of which have been spotted here!!
